Abstract
Descriptions of all stages except the larva and the pupa of Simulium (Simulium) jingfui sp. nov. collected from the stream on the foot of the Emei mountain, Sichuan Province, China, are given with the illustrations. This species is assigned to the variegatum-group, Simulium subgenus and closely related to S, (S.) himalayense Puri, 1930, S. (S.) taiwanicum Takaoka, 1979, S. (S.) shanxiense Cai and An 2003, S. (S.) immortalis Cai and An, 2003, S. (S.) chamlongi Takaoka and Suzuki, 1984. However, it is clearly differentiated from them by the structure of genital fork, genital plate, paraproct and cereus of the female, ventral plate and median sclerite of male. All the specimens are kept in Beijing Institute of Microbiology and Epidemioiogy.关键词
