A DISCUSSION ON THE FAVOURABLE REGIONS AND NEW REALMS OF EXPLORING FOR NATU RAL GAS IN SICHUAN BASIN( Ⅰ )

Abstract
Great successes have been achieved in natural gas exploration is Sichuan Basin in more than 40 years; which strongly supports the urban and rural development in Sichuan Province and Chongqing City. The favourable regions must be widened and some new realms must be probed in order to keep up a sustained development of the economy in the two territories and to meet the needs of developing natural gas industry in the 21st century in China. On the basis of achieving the national key research projects on Sichuan Basin carried out from the Sixth Five-Year Plan to the Ninth Five-Year Plan and in combination with the research results finished by our predecessors, such a complicated problem is discussed from four aspects in considera tion of the exploration situation of the basin and the geological laws of natural gas distribution,and of opening up new realms. Although some concrete exploration targets can′t be proposed, these ideas may be provided for the policy-makers to consult and for the technical personnel to correct strategically.关键词
