Abstract
Objective To explore health related quality of life in patients with hypertension and its influencing factors.Methods The SF-36 Chinese version was used to conduct a survey on 300 hypertensive patients in the community and demographic data were collected as well.Results SF-36 scores of hypertensive patients in this research and the US norm people were significantly different in most of the facets, the former got significantly lower score in many facets except mental health facet(P<0.01).Hypertensive patients got significantly higher scores in some facets when compared with that of coronary heart patients, including physical function, bodily pain, vitality, social function and mental health. Besides, they got significantly higher scores in physical function, role physical, general health, vitality, social function and mental health, when compared with that of diabetes mellitus patients.Male patients,those with senior school education or higher, and without complications had much better quality of life.Conclusion Hypertensive patients had worse quality of life than that of US norm people, but their quality of life were better than that of patients with coronary heart disease or diabetes mellitus. Hypertensive patients′ quality of life was influenced by gender, educational level and complications.关键词
