摘要

Abstract

A new version of Martin-Hou equation of state with 27 constantsis presented. The constants are checked and selected by the statistical analysis. The values of the constants for methane are evaluated by using the PVT data in the single phase region of 90K ~ 400K at pressures up to 50MPa and vapor liquid equilibrium data in the co-existing liquid and vapor phases. The new equation of state can not only give good results for PVT in single and vapor-liquid equilibrium in the co-existing phases, but also predict enthalpies,entropies and heat capacities very well. So the new equation of states can be used as a satisfactory equation of state for fluid methane. The presented equation of state can give equivalent or even better results than those of Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation of state with 33 constants modified by McCarty.
