Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinic-pathological characteristics in young women with breast cancer and further improve the level of diagnosis and treatment. Method :The pathological characters such as incidence, histological types, lymph node metastasis and ER, PR status in young women with breast cancer collected from Oct. 1971 to Oct. 2008 were analyzed retrospectively and prognostic results were observed.Result:The incidence of young women with breast cancer was 8.6% (153/1789) among all breast cancer cases collected during the same period, 6.1% occured before 1990 and 9.8% after 1990, 98.6% was the types of invasive cancer. Lymphatic metastases were found in 80.4% of the patients. The positive rate of ER in young patients was 64.8%. There was a significant difference( P <0.01 ) between young and old patients with breast cancer. The prognosis of young women with breast cancer was worse than old one, the average survival rate of 5 years was only 41.3% (33/80). Conclusion :There are several different clinic-pathological characterastics in young women with breast cancer compared with old ones.关键词
