Abstract
Natural gas industry is one of the highly internationalizedindustries in world economic system． The global integration of natural gas production and consume in the world was formed in the 90s of the 20th century． In China，the natural gas industry is still sitting in the primary development stage at present，the market expansion being slow and the degree of internationalization being very low．After acceding to WTO，new opportunities will be presented and an intense competition will be faced too for developing natural gas industry in China． How to deal with the new internal and external situations is a problem being worth studying deeply． On the basis of analyzing the economic environment of natural gas market in China at present， the opportunity and competition faced by developing natural gas industry in China after acceding to WTO are deeply discussed and some suggestions on relevant policy measures of expanding natural gas industry in China are proposed in the paper．关键词
