Abstract
There is “shallow water and deep sediment”in the Wei River according to historical records. Owing to shallow water leading to unable transportation in the river from Han to Tang dynasties, the channels were dug out many times to ship grain to the capital. The average water levels under same discharge at stations of Huaxian, Xianyang and Daokou in the Wei River were 0.02 to 0.089 m higher before Sanmenxia reservoir constructed comparing with that after the reservoir built, so did in the lower Wei River. Being the erosion datum point of the lower Wei River, Tongguan's elevation is annually rising 0.035 m in average. Elevations of Tongguan and the lower Wei River Channel are interacted and inter-influenced to rise simultaneously. Sedimentation had happened in the lower Wei River before Sanmenxia reservoir constructed.关键词
