Research on the Crease-Resistance of Silk Grafted with Citric Acid and Maleic Anhydride

Abstract
Silk fabrics are modified by the methods of chemical grafting and irradiated grafting respectively with citric acid and maleic anhydride along with sodium dihydrogen phosphate as catlyst. After many tries with different time and solution concentration, it is found that both of the treatments have anti-crease effect under suitable process conditions. But whiteness as well as strength decreases. When used irradiated grafting, the effect with citric acid is not good. However, with maleic anhydride the crease resistance is improved largely without much effect on whiteness and strength.关键词
