Abstract
Objective To investigate the status of job satisfaction of nurses with different demographie characteristics in the emergency departments of Class Three Grade A hospitals, and provide suggestion for nurse managers. Methods Cross-sec-tional study and random cluster sampling was conducted to collect the data about job satisfaction of nurses in 10 hospitals of Chengdu city. Results The degree of total job satisfaction of nurses working in emergency departments was higher at some ex-tent. Nurses with different demographic characteristics were significantly different in items of total job satisfaction. Conclusion Demographic characteristics should be considered in improving the degree of job satisfaction of nurses working in emergency room. Sustaining and improving the degree of different items of total job satisfaction of emergency nurses still should be focused by nurse managers.关键词
