短尾猴对顺位关系的认知
Recognition of Rank Relationship by Tibetan Monkeys
摘要
Abstract
Rank of an individual in a social group is an important factor influencing other aspects of the individual . Therefore, the understanding of rank recognition of a given species is very helpful to explain the origin and nature of social behaviors. This study, based on a long-term observation of wild Tibetan monkeys (Macaca thibetana) at Huangshan in China from August 1996 to April 1997, suggested that individual Tibetan monkey knew its rank position in dominance hierarchy and recognized the relationships between itself and another individual and among other individuals.关键词
