Abstract
The scavenging effects of Gynostemma extracts on super-oxide radical(O2),which was generated from light reaction of NBT, were assayed in vitro. It was shown that extracts from three kinds of Gynostemma had significant capacity of scavenging O2, but there were different activities among the three kinds of Gynostemma;and that the light taste kind (a variety) had the most activity, the scavenging activity of its extract and its leaf extract on O2 were 51.49% and 74.08% respectively.The radical-scavenging activity of extracts could be decreased by heating, especially treating with activated carbon and diatomite.关键词
