Relationship among cardiovascular autonomic function and QT dispersion and ventricular arrhythmia of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract
To investigate the relationship among cardiovascular autonomicfunction（CAF），QT dispersion（QTd）and ventricular arrhythmia of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus（DM）.60 patients with type? 2 DM and 35 heathly controls were in volved in the study.According to the results of standard test of CAF，the patients with DM were divided into two groups including positive group（35）and negative group（25）.QTd and QTc dispersion（QTcd）and incidence of ventricular arrhythmia in 24 hours were estimated and analysed.Results showed that the incidence of diabetic autonomic neuropathy in type 2 DM was 58.3％，which correlated with duration of diabetic history，QTd，QTcd and incidence of ventricular arrhythmia obviously increased in type 2 DM with abnormal CAF（p＜0.01）than those in negative group.It suggests that the positive rate of diabetic autonomic neuropathy in type 2 DM patients is high，QTd and QTcd are significantly increased in DM patients with abnormal CAF，this may be one of causes that give rise to ventricular arrhythmia and sudden death.关键词
