Preparation and Properties of Poly (Propylene Carbonate) /Montmorillonite Nanocomposites via in Situ Polymerization

摘要

Abstract

Poly (propylene carbonate) (PPC)/montmorillonite (MMT) nanocomposites were prepared via in situ polymerization with zinc glutarate catalyst. TEM examination exhibited that the MMT layers were dispersed in polymer matrix in nano scale. Tensile measurement showed that the tensile strength of nanocomposites tended to increase with increasing the MMT content. The thermal prop-erties also improved apparently, compared with that of pure PPC.
