Abstract
[Objective] To examine the expression of Topoisomerase Ⅱα and PCNA in astrocytoma, and investigate the relevance of Topo-Ⅱα, PCNA with tumor malignant degree and prognosis. [Methods] The SABC immunohistochemical staining method was used to examine the expression of Topo- Ⅱα, PCNA in 32 human astrocytomas, the comparisons of two markers with malignant degree and prognosis were evaluated statistically.[Results] The expression of Topo- Ⅱα, PCNA was significantly different between low grade and high grade astrocytoma. Log-rank test and Kaplan-Meier curves analysis indicated the expression of Topo- Ⅱα, PCNA both had significant negative correlation with patients survival time (ρTopo-Ⅱα=-0.8162, P ＜0.01, ρPCNA=-0.7947, P ＜0.01,respectively). The high expression intensity of two genes reflected the adverse prognosis of astrocytoma patients.[Conclusions] The expressions of Topo- Ⅱα, PCNA were correlated with astrocytoma malignant degree and prognosis. The simultaneous detection of two genes had referenced significance to estimate tumor malignant degree ,and the two proteins might be prognostic markers of astrocytoma.关键词
