Bifurcation and Amplitude Catastrophe of Periodic Responses in a Nonlinear Rotor with Rub

Abstract
Bifurcation and amplitude catastrophe phenomena for periodicresponse of a Jeffcott rotor with nonlinear stiffness and rub are numerically studied with unbalance eccentricity and rotating angular frequency of the rotor investigated as control variables.The catastrophic surface of vibrational amplitude and bifurcation set are obtained by numerical simulation.The conclusions in the paper are of positive significance to understanding the dynamic mechanism of abrupt failures of rotating machinery.关键词
