IDENTIFICATION OF SAWAYA'ERDUN GOLD DEPOSIT OF MURUNTAU-TYPE IN XINJIANG, SOUTHWESTERN TIANSHAN MOUNTAINS AND ITS SIGNIFICATION

Abstract
Sawaya'erdun gold deposit, situated in the hinterland of southwestern Tianshan near the northwestern Tarim Basin, is characterized by large reserves, lower grade and intense alteration. In the ways of geological setting, ore-hosting rock, mineral and element paragenesis, as well as metallogenic mechanism, the gold deposit is pretty similar to and comparable with Murunatu gold deposit. It is the first example of Muruntau-type gold deposit found in Xinjiang, southwestern Tianshan of China.关键词
