Abstract

In order to meet the needs of plugging the near wellbore of wells with heavy depletion, leakage and macroscopic void channeling, the mechanism and methods of enhancing plugging material intensity and building capacity was studied. A high-intensity plugging system was developed to form fine reticulates thin wall on the near wellbore, voided borehole, big chan-nel and fractures. By using of the triple particle filling of well cement, extra fine cement and silica fume, the consolidation strength of plugging material was improved. Building capacity and sealing characteristics were increased. The application of the system in 39 wells show that the effect was favorable. The problems in plugging the near wellbore of wells with heavy deple-tion, leakage and macroscopic void channeling were solved. The technology laid the technical foundation for redevelopment of old oil fields.
