Abstract
Basic magnesium carbonate (χMgCO3·Mg(OH)2·yH2O) was prepared by double carbonation under normal pressure. Raw material was obtained from light-burned dolomite powder. The influences of different pyrogenation temperatures and different addi-tives on the crystal morphology of basic magnesium carbonate were studied in order to improve its filling and dispersion. The results indicate that rod-like basic magnesium carbonate can be prepared at 50℃, and the length is 36-88μm, the section diameter is about 2μm. Flaky and roseleaf-shaped basic magnesium carbonate can be prepared at 60℃. Spheric basic magnesium carbonate can be pre-pared at 70℃, and the diameter is about 40μm. In addition, sodium citrate can improve the uniformity of the grain distribution at 50℃. Ethanol can reduce the length-to-diameter ratio at 50℃. Magnesium chloride can increase the crystal length to 115μm and the section diameter to 18μm at 50℃.关键词
