A Study on Melt-able metal Core Process for Permanent Mould Casting of Ti3Al-based Alloy
摘要
Abstract
Based on an experimental study of the melt-able core and itssurface treatment technique, the castings with intermetallic compound Ti3Al-based alloy have been successfully cast in the permanent mold. The result shows that first, the Ti3Al castings can be manufactured by permanent mold casting; second, key of the technology is the use of a melt-able core which should not only bear pressure of the mold filling metal melt, but also could reduce the resistance of the core to metal contraction by the core being molten; and finally, the coating of the core is also one of the key technology for ensuring the alloy melt being successfully filled and against its composition being changed.关键词
