摘要
Abstract
The paper presents the results of how the 1∶100M SOTER database is established and its preliminary application works in Shandong province.The SOTER unit spatial database is formed by the GIS overlay from the provincial maps of parent materials,relief and soils.The attributes databases of terrain,terrain component,soil component,profile data are manipulated by a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).A unique label attached to both the geometric and attributes database connect these two types of information for each SOTER unit.Some preliminary application fields can be seen for mapping,land evaluation in response to the specific information and data needs of a wide diversity of decision and policy makers.关键词
