Abstract
Objective To investigate the characteristics of,and the screening and diagnosis of cervical lesion in postmenopausal women.Methods Totally 360 female patients with abnormal thinprep cytologic test( TCT) were divided as premenopause group(n=180) and postmenopause group(n=180).Then all the patients were given biopsy on several cervical sites under colposcopy,and high risk human papillomavirus (HPV) detection.Results There were in the postmenopause group 84 patients(46.7%) with cervical erosion,and in the premenopausal group 124 (68.9%)(P＜0.05).There were in the postmenopausal and premenopausal groups respectively 122 patients (67.8%) and 80 patients (44.5%)who had chronic cervical inflammation detected by histopathology,42 (23.3%) and 81 (45.0%)who had cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)-Ⅰ-Ⅱ,4(2.2%) and 15 (8.3%)who had CIN Ⅲ,and 12 (6.7%) and 4 (2.2%) who had invasive cancer,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P＜0.05).And there were in the two groups respectively 57 patients(31.7%) and 95 patients (52.8%) who had HPV(+),with a significant difference (P＜0.05).Conclusion The abnormal cytological test of the cervix is of its specialty,so it is clinically recommended TCT screening should serve as an accessory measure to histopathological examination and HPV detection.关键词
