Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of combining corticosteroid inhalation with controlled-released theophylline or beta2-agonist to chronic moderate asthmatics.Method 99 chronic moderate asthmatics were divided randomly into two groups.Patients in treatment group were given inhaled becliomethnsone and oral controlled-released theophylline.Patients in controlled group were given inhaled becliomethnsone and oral beta2-agonist.Each course was 8weeks.Frequency of asthma attack、clinic symptom score and peak expiratory flow(PEF)were taken everyday.FVC and FEF1 were measured before treatment and every two weeks after treatment.Results Frequency of asthma attack、clinic symptom score and pulmonary function were improved significantly after treatment in both groups,but there was no difference in the above observed index between the two groups.The different value of the PEF(△PEF)between the first week and the sixth as well as eighth week in treatment group was higher than that in controlled group.Conclusion The treatment of inhaled corticosteroid combing with controlled-released theophylline or beta2-agonist can decrease frequencey of asthma attack,improve the clinic symptoms and the pulmonary function.Treatment of inhaled corticosteroid combining with controlled-released theophylline can decrease △PEF more significantly than that combing with beta2agonist.关键词
