摘要

Abstract

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) as power generation systems have attracted much attention due to their many advantages in terms of high efficiency, fuel adaptability, low pollution and expedient operation. Developing intermediate-low temperature SOFCs is the inevitable next step for the large-scale commercialization of SOFCs. The electrolyte material is the key factor to determine its progress. In this paper the latest research advances and development trends in solid electrolytes for intermediate-low temperature SOFCs have been analytically reviewed, with special emphasis on apatite-type electrolytes, which have attracted increasing research interest in recent years. Future trends about electrolyte materials have also been discussed.
