摘要

Abstract

Nanometer Ni(OH)2 was a promising active material for nickel electrode. However, their electrochemical performances were affected greatly by the fabrication methods of nanoscale nickel electrode. The results show that nickel electrode with dispersed nanometer nickel hydroxide has higher capacity and plateau than that with non-dispersed one; nanocomposite nickel electrode has higher capacity and plateau than pure nanometer nickel electrode. Nanocomposite nickel electrode with dispersed nanometer nickel hydroxide has excellent comprehensive electrochemical performance than conventional spherical nickel electrode. The reason that dispersed nanocomposite electrode has excellent electrochemical performance is that lower aggregations and more fluidity of nanometer nickel hydroxide improve the electric contact and proton diffusion path, decrease the reaction resistance and increase the use efficiency of active materials.
