Study on activity changes of angiotensinⅡ and arginine vasopresin in cerebrospinal fluid and its correlation with P300 peak latency in 50 patients with vascular dementia

Abstract
Aim To investigate the activity changes and its significance of angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ ), arginine vesopresin(AVP) in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), and its correlation with P300 peak latency(P300PL) in patients with vascular dementia(VD).Methods Case grouping: VD group,50 patients; Control group,26 patients with no - organic diseases in central nervous system(CNS);Cognitive Evaluation: by Mimi - Mental State Examination(MMSE), P300PL and hachinski ischemic scale(HIS);Assay of AngⅡ and AVP content by radioimmunoassay(RIA).Results In VD group, AngⅡ content in CSF was significantly higher(P< 0.01),but AVP content in CSF was much lower(P< 0.01) than that in control group; and P300PL was more elongated(P< 0.01),but MMSE was more decreased(P< 0.01).Conclusion It played an important role of brain AngⅡ and AVP activity changes in pathophysiology of vascular dementia.关键词
