The Construction and Characteristic Evaluation of Xylose-utilizingRecombinant Zymomonas mobilis Strain

Abstract
Two poerons encoding xylose assimilation and pentose phosphate pathway enzymes from Escherichia coli were constructed and transformed into Z. Mobilis. The recombination strain fermentation xylose to ethanol was achieved through a combination of the pentose phosphate pathway and Entner-Doudoroff pathways. PZM can utilize glucose and xylose. The productivity of ethanol from glucose was 81.2% of theory value and 63.1% from xylose.关键词
