注浆成型工艺制备高耐磨氧化铝陶瓷
FABRICATION OF ALUMINA CERAMICS WITH HIGH WEAR RESISTANCE BY SLIP CASTING

Abstract
Advanced alumina ceramics with high wear resistance were fabricated by slip casting. An orthogonal design was utilized to optimize the colloidal process parameters. The slurry with the largest sedimentation height was prepared when the addition mass frac-tion of polyacrylic acid was 1.0%, the milling time was 10 h, and the pH value was 11 in the colloidal process. The alumina ceramic prepared by forming using the slurry and sintering at 1 200 ℃ for 1 h and 1 540 ℃ for 2 h had a dense and uniform microstructure with high bulk density of 3.86 g/cm3, a high hardness of 11.02 GPa, and a high fracture toughness of 3.31 MPa·m1/2. The friction and wear test results show that the friction coefficient of alumina ceramics under dry friction was lower than that under water lubrication, while the wear mass loss under dry friction was more than that under water lubrication. The mechanism of high wear resistance of the as-fabricated alumina ceramics was determined by observing the microstructure under scanning electronic microscopy. The wear mechanism of alumina ceramics under dry friction is mainly adhesion brittlement rupture and breaking off, while that under water lubrication is mainly chemical fretting wear.关键词
