Apoptosis and expression of p53 gene in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and squamous cell carcinoma
摘要
Abstract
objective：To explore the effects of apoptosis and p53 gene in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and squamous cell carcinoma.Methods:The apoptotic labeling indices(A-LI),PCNA(proliferating cell nuclear antigen)-LI,P53-LI and the positive expression of P53 protein were observed in 15 cases of normal cervical epithelium,22 cases of CIN I/Ⅱ，16 cases of CINⅢ and 52 cases of ISCC(invasive squamous cervical carcinoma)tissues,using DNA nick end labeling technique and immunohistochemical staining for PCNA and P53 proteins.Results:No apoptotic cell was observed in normal cervical epithelium.A-LI increased with the development of CIN(P＜0.05).A-LI in ISCC were significantly lower than those in CIN(P＜0.01).PCNA-LI graduallincreased with the development of every lesion grade of cervical carcinomas(P＜0.05).P53 protein was not detected in normal cervical epithelium and CIN I/Ⅱand P53-LI in CINⅢ were significantly lower than those in ISCC(P＜0.01).Conclusions:Apoptosis play an important role in the development of cervical carcinoma and P53 protein may block apoptosis.关键词
