Abstract
Objective: To explore the changes and the expression of MMP-2, MMP-9, MMP-2 mRNA and MMP-9 mRNA in the course of injury and repair of lung tissue, and their significance and the probable molecular mechanism as well. Methods: To establish the injurious model of lung tissue in rats, 20 rats were divided into one control group and eight experimental groups receiving O3 manipulation, and the changes of pathological morphology in different phases were observed under optical microscope. Immunohistochemistry for the expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 was performed. Results: The model of rat lung tissue injury was made successfully. Immunohistochemical analysis indicated that the expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were weakly positive in normal lung tissue and positive expression became stronger in injurious lung tissue and their expressions reached the normal level when the lung tissue was repaired. Conclusion: The expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 are closely related to the injury of lung tissue. MMP-2 and MMP-9 take part in the whole course of repair and injury of the lung tissue.关键词
