摘要

Abstract

The conception of the planar envelope worm indexing cam mechanisms (PEWICM) is proposed for the first time, and the general thought of EWICM was granted a Chinese patent. The kinematics and geometric model of PEWICM is established through introducing worm gear drive techniques to indexing cam mechanisms. The conjugate performances which include the conjugate surface shapes and features, the contact line distribution features, the conjugate limitation and interference, induced curvature, main structural design parameters and so on, are analyzed and discussed in detail. All of those provided a concrete foundation for EWICM to develop.
