摘要
Abstract
BACKGROUND:Long-term hyperlipidemia can promote atherogenesis and increasing attention is being drawn to the effect of various growth factors in this process.However,the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) remains unclear. OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of VEGF on atherogenesis. DESIGN:A randomly controlled trial study. SETTING,PARTICIPANTS and INTERVENTION:Ten female and ten male C57BL/6J mice of 8 weeks old were randomly divided into 2 groups: normal control group(NC) and atherogenic diet group(AS) with 10 mice in each.The mice in NC group were fed standard feed,while those in AS were given lipid milk prepared by us 10 mL/kg every day apart from the normal feed. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Lipids(TC,TG,HDL,LDL) in serum were measured;the expression of VEGF protein in aortic wall was detected by immunohistochemical SABC method. CONCLUSION:In the condition of hyperlipidemia,endogenetic VEGF participates in thrombosis and proliferation of tunica intima and promotes the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis.关键词
