Effects of Plant Density on Growth and Yield of Rice “Jinongda 7”

Abstract
Growth, development and yield determing components of rice, cv. “Jinongda 7” under different plant densities were studied. With the decrease of plant density, the number of tillers and leaves increased and growth period extended. Significant differences were found in the number of panicles and grains and leaf area index (LAI) under different plant density. However, plant height significantly decreased only at 30 cm×13.2 cm plant density compared with that at other plant densities. Plant density had no effect on grain weight. The highest yield, 9 500 kg/bm2, was obtained at plant density 30 cm×19.8 cm.关键词
