Abstract
BACKGROUND: Preparation of single folium ginkgo extract combined with salvia miltiorrhiza extract may promote its action on activating blood circulation and resolving stasis, further improving clinical symptoms and enhancing the protection on cardiac cerebral vessel.OBJECTIVE: To compare the protection on cardiac cerebral vessel between compound extract of folium ginkgo and salvia miltiorrhiza and single folium ginkgo extract.DESIGN: Randomized controlled observation was designed.SETTING: Hubei Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute.MATERIALS: The experiment was performed in Experimental Center of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Hubei Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry from November 1994 to February 1997, in which, 160 SD rats of clean grade and 180 Kunming mice of clean grade were employed.METHODS: The tested drugs were used on each experimental model animal to compare their functions. The experiments were performed in myocardial ischemia (40 rats), myocardial anoxia (40 mice), arterial thrombosis (40 rats), experimental cerebral thrombosis (40 rats), blood platelet aggregation (40 mice), acute cerebral ischemia (40 mice) and cerebral anoxia (40 mice) successively. Rats or mice of different body masses were selected for each experiment and they were randomized into solvent control, single folium ginkgo extract group (FG group) (1.6g/kg), folium ginkgo + salvia miltiorrhiza extract group (compound group) (1.6 g/kg) and tianbaoning group (1.8g/kg), 10 animals in each group. Gastric perfusion was done once per day for medication, continuously for 7 days. Altogether 60 mice were employed separately for the experiment on acute cerebral ischemia, in which, the survival duration was observed in 120 minutes.ischemia.RESULTS: Totally 180 mice and 160 rats were used in the experiment and all of those entered result analysis. Compared with FG group and chemia induced by posterior pituitrin was reduced(by 50%, 70%, 100%,sis of carotid artery induced by electric stimuli [(17.7±4.4), (12.8±4.1),amount in cerebral vessel induced by thrombosis inducer was reduced culatory platelet aggregation in vitro was increased (0.65±0.14,0.53±0.06,mice with acute cerebral anoxia induced by sodium nitrite [(29.6±3.9),of the mice was significantly prolonged after the ligature of carotid artery prolonged for mice after sacrificed [( 17.9±2.6), (15.9±1.0), (13.5±2.2) s,P ＜ 0.05 ,P ＜ 0.01].CONCLUSION: Compound extract of folium ginkgo and salvia miltiorrhiza protects well for myocardial ischemia and cerebral thrombosis, ischemia and anoxia and its action is superior remarkably to single folium ginkgo extract.关键词
