Abstract
The combination of pulsed corona discharges and catalyst was examined for conversion of pure carbon dioxide in a corona reactor packed with porous γ-Al2O3 pellets. The conversion of CO2 was enhanced by addition of γ-Al2O3. In the presence of γ-Al2O3, the conversion of CO2, yield of CO and selectivity of CO reach 23%, 15% and 70.8%. Corresponding conversion in the absence of γ-Al2O3, 3% for CO2 conversion, 2.4% for yield of CO and 66 % for selectivity of CO. The CO2 conversion increases with increasing applied voltage and decreasing gas flow rate. The optimum reactor length and diameter based on the maximum conversion of CO2 and yield of CO exist at L=125mm and 2R=26mm in the present range of experiment. The maximum energy efficiency of CO2 reaches 318.7g/kWh.关键词
