摘要

Abstract

It is well known that the pile shaft interface is more disturbed than that further away from the pile, and the soil response under load in this disturbed zone is highly nonlinear. A hyperbolic model, which can describe the non-linear relationship between the shaft shear stress and localized shear displacement along the pile-soil interface, is introduced and the corresponding verification for the hyperbolic model was made by a series of laboratory test results. Based on the laboratory test results, an approximate formulation was proposed to determine the parameters for the hyperbolic model and comparisons were conducted between the theoretical and pile field test results.
