Abstract
[Objectives] To explore the dynamic changes of EphA4 expression in the cortex and hippocampus after chronic cerebral ischemia in rats. [Methods] The rats were divided into five groups randomly: normal group,sham operation group, 15 day, 30 day and 60 day model groups. The chronic cerebral ischemic models were produced by the permanent occlusion of bilateral common carotid arteries. All of the rats were trained in Morris Water Maze to find the changes of etiology. The expression of EphA4 was measured by immunohistochemistry method. [Results] The expression of EphA4 in all the model groups was significantly increased than in the sham operation group (P <0.05), which was in accordance with the behavioral observations. [Conclusion] The increased expression of EphA4 in the chronic cerebral ischemic lesions suggests that it may play an important inhibitory role in the neural regeneration.关键词
