离体下颌骨后牙区颌骨高度的研究
An illustrative study of the height of isolated mandible in posterior molars region

Abstract
AIM: To provide quantitative data for alveolar ridge augment of mandible in posterior molars region.METHODS: Eighty-nine isolated adult mandibles were adopted for measuring the height in posterior molar region.RESULTS: The results of the study showed that the distance from the upper edge of mental foramen to the apex of alveolar ridge was ( 13.95 ± 2.45 ) on dentulous side and (8. 77 ± 2.75) mm on edentulous side with the average differenceof 5.18 mm. Mandible height in mental foramen region was (31.65 ±3.09) mm on dentulous side and(24. 67 ±3.88) mm on edentulous, with the average difference of 6. 98 mm, comparing with the corresponding(29. 15 ±2.91) mm , (23.03 ±4. 11) mm and 6. 12 mm in the posterior molars region.CONCLUSION: Mental foramen and 1.0 cm posterior to it are preferable for measuring mandible height in cuspid and molar region because of easy performance and the invariable position. Vertical resorbence in mandible posterior molars region is of 5 to 7 mm, which provides anatomical reference for alveolar ridge augment.关键词
