Abstract
Objective: This study was performed to investigate the expressions of EGFR, C-erbB-2, CD44v6,P53 in colorectal cancers, and determine whether these expressions are progressively increasing across the Dukes' stage. Methods: expression of EGFR, C-erbB-2, CD44v6 and P53 proteins were detected respectively with four categories of monoclonal antibodies by immunohistochemical SABC staining in 63 archival materials of colorectal cancers. The staining characteristics were compared with degree of differentiation, serosal invasion and Dukes' stage. Results: There were no significant correlation between the co-expression among EGFR,C-erbB-2,CD44v6,P53 and the tumor size,histologic grade,serosal invasion. However,it was found a significant linear relationship between levels of four oncoproteins and Dukes'stage in patients with colorectal cancer.Conclusions: A combination of these staining may be proved useful in assessing which patients are at greater risk ofprogressing to metastasis.关键词
