Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins in normal, hyperplastic, and malignant endometrium.Methods Endometrial tissues were obtained from 14 proliferative endometrial samples; simple (n=30) and complex hyperplasia without atypia(n=13); complex hyperplasia with atypia(n=20) and endometrial adenocarcinoma (n=17). The expression of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins was detected by using immunohistochemical staining with appropriate antibodies.Conclusion The survival time of the cells in hyperplasia expressing Bcl-2 might be prolonged. Neoplastic cells in atypia hyperplasia and adenocarcinoma might show a decreased expression of Bcl-2 and Bax, suggesting that Bcl-2 and Bax might be important indexes and prognosis factors and the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax might be correlated with carcinogenesis in the uterine endometrium of humans.关键词
