Abstract
Objective: To investigate the opportunity of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and the risk factors of multiple organ dysfunction (MODS) in asphyxiated neonates. Methods: According to the criteria of SIRS and MODS,258 cases in NICU were studied from Jan, 1996 to Dec, 2000.Results: 172 cases (66. 7%) were diagnosed as SIRS,20. 9% (36/172) of SIRS patients developed MODS, The mortality rate of MODS was 44. 4%. Conclusion: SIRS/MODS in common in asphyxiated neonates, The SIRS patients have high incidence of MODS and its mortality is high. Early intervention should be taken in such cases.关键词
