摘要

Abstract

The new laser-strengthening technologies to improve the wearability of the engine piston ring are introduced from different aspects.The effect of laser quenching of the piston ring and the inside wall of the cylinder liner,and laser texturing of the cylinder liner on the wearability of the piston ring are discussed respectively.The experimental results show that each process can make the life of the piston ring increase by 100%.The laser texturing can not only make the piston ring life increase 100%,but also decrease fuel exhaustion by 30%~60% and discharge of HC gas by 10%~20%.
