Image potential effect on field emission from arrays of carbon nanotubes
摘要
Abstract
A multi-scale quantum chemistry method is used to study field emission from arrays of carbon nanotubes. The image potential is effectively given by the image potential of an ideal metal sphere with atomic size. When the image potential is included, the field emission current density is 6 times stronger than the results without considering the image potential.关键词
