Brefeldin A,a Cytotoxin from an Endophytic Fungal Strain of Eupenicillium brefeldianum Isolated from Arisaema erubescens
摘要
Abstract
An endophytic fungal strain of Eupenicillium brefeldianum,isolated from a Chinese traditional medicinal plant Arisaema erubescens,was found to be able to produce toxic metabolite grown in liquid culture.The toxic metabolite was determined as brefeldin A (BFA) based on nuclear magnetic resonance techniques and fast atom bombardment mass spectroscopy.The antitumor and antifungal activities of BFA on four human tumor cell lines and six phytopathogenic fungi were tested,and the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) on sensitive fungi were tested too.At last,the ecological role of BFA was also discussed.关键词
