THE CONFIRMATION OF THE EPIDEMIC AREA OF TSUTSUGAMUSHI DISEASE ON NAN'AO COUNTY IN CHINA

Abstract
Aim Recent years the incidence of tsutsugamushi disease has increased on the Nan ao county in China and the characteristic of the epidemic area has not been reported. This study has investigated the region for the epidemic area of tsutsugamushi disease. Methods The investigation of the epidemic area,the isolation of Orientia tsutsugamushi,the study of pervention measures were carried out. Results The region is the island epidemic area of south subtropical zone. The main host is Rattus norvegicus. The main biological vector is Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) deliens. The seasonal quantity trends of Rattus norvegicu and Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) deliens are consistent with the incidence of the disease of the region. The Orientia tsutsugamushi has been isolated from Rattus norvegicus and Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) deliens. The results of identification show that Orientia tsutsugamushi isolated strains is mainly Karp. The molcular biological resuits show that Kato and Korea strain (Yonchon) is present in the region. The serologic results show that antibody to Orientia tsutsugamushi is positive in the residents and army crowd. After the prevent measures were carried out,the incidence was descent. Conclusion The Nanao county is the epidemic area of tsutsugamushi disease.关键词
