摘要

Abstract

In the study on the measurement of radioactivity in soil, by using the relativity of the emissivity of gamma photons when 232Th decay series, 226Ra and its short-life daughter, which naturally exist in soil, are b oth balanced, we first establish relative efficiency calibration curves for gamma photons of different energy with HPGe γ spectrometer. Then by using the emissivity of the photon of 40K in KCI, we determine the measurement efficiency of spectrometer for the 1.460 MeV γ photon and thus obtain the efficiency calibration of HPGe γ spectrometer. Compared with the results provided by Radiation Metrology Center of China National Nuclear Company who measured the same samples, our results are consistent with theirs well.
