卵巢切除大鼠皮质骨骨密度与生物力学特性分析
Bone mineral density and biomechanical properties analyses of the cortical bone in ovariectomized rats

Abstract
Aim To explore the effects of bone mineral density andbiomechanical properties of the cortical bone in ovariectomizedrats. Methods 40 female rats were randomly assigned to ovariectomy(OVX) and sham operation groups. 10 of each group were killed at 6 and 12weeks after operation. The change of serum and urinary biochemical param-eters, tibia bone mineral density and femur biomechanics properties wereobserved at 6 and 12 weeks after operation. Results Serum total calciumand total alkaline phosphatase, urinary Ca/Cr, HOP/Cr were significantlyincreased in OVX compared with Sham (P < 0.01) at 6 and 12weeks. Bone mineral density, ultimate force, bending stiffness, ultimatestress, and Young' s modulus had no change at 6 weeks( P > 0.05). Bonemineral density in OVX rats were significantly lower than those in Shan rats( P < 0.01 ), ultimate force, bending stiffness, ultimate stress, and Young's modulus in OVX rats were lower than those in Sham rats at 12 weeks( P <0.05). Conclusion Bone mineral density and biomechanical properties aremore valuable in evaluation of an animal model of postmenopausal osteo-porosis.关键词
