Abstract
Translational motion compensation is a very important step in ISAR imaging. The existing algorithms, which solve motion compensation in two separate steps known as range-bin alignment and phase adjustment, are not so accurate. With regard to this problem, a new algorithm based on early-late convolution is presented. The main idea of the proposed algorithm comes from bit synchronization techniques used in spread spectrum communication systems. Owing to the accurate estimation of target range, range bin alignment and phase correction can be accomplished in one step. Because every pulse is processed separately, there is no error accumulation. The method can achieve very accurate range estimation because it has no quantized error and is not limited by range bin size.关键词
