摘要

Abstract

Composite propellant viscosity and mechanical properties were measured and analyzed theoretically. The effects of the solid particle size distribution and the binder curing ratio were investigated experimentally. The theory and concepts of physical chemistry of polymer rheology were applied to modelling the propellant properties. It is concluded that the fine AP can act as active filler in the polymer matrix and enhance the matrix properties. For the investigated serial propellant formulations,the maximum strain and optimum viscosity of the propellant are achieved when fine AP contents are approximately 20 percent.
