摘要

Abstract

The diffraction efficiency of superimposed holographic gratings in a volume material as being a coarse wavelength-division multiplexer(CWDM-MUX)was analyzed.Rigorous coupled-wave analysis Was used to simulate the effects of the grating thickness and Bragg angle on the polarization dependent loss.Numerical results showed that a low polarization dependent loss of the multiplexer could be obtained without significantly increasing additional loss by optimizing both the grating thickness and Bragg angle.An eight-channel CWDM-MUX with 20 nm spectral interval experimental as an example agrees well with the simulation results.
