摘要

Abstract

It is expensive to do reservoir test in the offshore oilfield. Studied is a method to pre-dict pay zone yield by measuring with low cost Wireline Formation Test (WFT) and calculating with traditional yield formula. Reservoir permeability, skin factor of the formation and other pa-rameters for yield prediction are calculated by curve fitting of the pressure data from the wireline formation tester. Fluid parameters for yield prediction are computed by using the high pressure physical property data from previously drilled wells and measured by wireline formation tester on the spot, the gas/oil ratio data measured by wireline formation tester. Then the yield per layer in a day and the production index are calculated. Application examples show that wireline formation tester can partly replace drill stem test in offshore oilfield exploration in China.
